The Journey: From Georgia to the Rockies

I'm Chase Knight, and my passion for the wild began far from the high peaks—in Snellville, Georgia. A lifelong call to nature and animals first gripped me there, thanks to my mother, who fostered my sense of adventure through countless excursions to the local wildlife sanctuary, Yellow River Game Ranch.

The transition from nature enthusiast to photographer was almost inevitable. My granddad was a professional photographer before me, and I carry his passion for capturing a moment in time every single day. I grew up with a camera in hand and new paths beneath my feet, and that's the ethos I live by today.

A Focus on Technical Precision

My work in vibrant color, while celebrated, is achieved through rigorous discipline. I live with color vision deficiency (colorblindness), which means every frame is processed with an unwavering focus on luminosity, contrast, and technical detail rather than reliance on perceived color balance. This dedication ensures the final images possess a heightened level of clarity and saturation, resulting in prints that are sharp, pure, and breathtakingly accurate.

Life in Colorado

I found balance and focus when I moved to Colorado with my girlfriend, Kristin, and our three beagles: Mickey, Ginger, and Chanel. Together, we began exploring the Colorado mountainside—hiking, climbing, river floating, and skiing. In chronicling these adventures, I built my portfolio, slowly finding my way to dedicating my life to photography.

My goal is simple: to see life in motion and capture those small, original instants of fleeting beauty. Stunning landscapes, hidden mountain sunsets, majestic wildlife, and lush wildflower fields. Scenes to remember forever, done in a way that allows me to share that life with others.
